Biography

I am a statistician and data scientist. Over the years I have collaborated with researchers in a wide spectrum of areas including medical science, physical sciences (e.g. climate modeling), and finance. We have developed new methods for multivariate time series analysis, structural equation modeling, errors in variable regression, experimental designs, as well as customized machine learning algorithms for supervised learning, unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning.  I have been actively involved in the SBU Data Science Graduate and Undergraduate Programs that are jointly operated by the Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics, and the Department of Computer Science. I am also a long time affiliate of the SBU IACS.
