Research

Zhichen Liu's research brings together human-centered AI, game theory, and data-driven optimization to develop next-generation modeling and computational tools for mobility and logistics systems, addressing challenges from connectivity, electrification, and automation. Her current research includes: (i) AI-enabled modeling and optimization of complex transportation networks; (ii) learning, adaptation, and policy design in human–autonomous vehicle interactions; and (iii) economic modeling and regulation in multimodal transportation and the sharing economy.
