Biography

Dr. Mahajan served in the federal government and the private industry in executive positions in scientific and business development roles. He was a technology adviser to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) for National Information Technology Transformation, has extensive travel in Europe and the Middle East, worked in venture capital as an investment decision maker, and was a Federal Program Manager for geospatial, imagery, analytic modeling, and computer science research programs. In addition, he regularly advises the U.S. Government. He concurrently holds a guest appointment at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Computing and Data Sciences Directorate. Dr. Mahajan is PI on over 10 funded projects in partnership with industry and develops technology in Defense, Financial Technology, and Medicine with faculty in multiple departments including Stony Brook's Renaissance School of Medicine (RSOM).
